Data Engineer (New York)

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join the team at one of our financial clients. This team is focused on building scalable data infrastructure and pipelines to support their analytics and product needs. This role is ideal for someone with strong Python expertise and experience working with AWS-based ETL pipelines. The role will be mainly remote, but ideally would be comfortable coming onsite in New York City ocassionally to get the team together

• Experience working with batch and streaming data pipelines
• Familiarity with Iceberg
• Knowledge of SQL
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
• Experience with AWS data services, including Lambda, Step Functions, S3, Glue, Athena, and DynamoDB
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably using AWS CDK or Terraform
• Understanding of ETL best practices, data modeling, and workflow automation
