Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist experienced in interventional radiology for a travel assignment requiring ARRT (CV, CI, or VI), RCIS, BLS, and ACLS certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital-based cardiac catheterization lab
  • Performs both diagnostic and interventional procedures as requested by physicians
  • Patient care involving cardiovascular and neurological cases
  • Day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM with weekend shifts required
  • On-call responsibility for 10-12 days per month, including one weekend
  • Responsible for obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by radiologist or cardiologist and providing patient care during procedures
  • Exposure to body fluids and ionizing radiation in daily work
  • Work occurs in a clean, ventilated, smoke-free environment with potential for stressful professional relationships
  • Flexibility required due to changing schedules and emergency cases
  • A 50-mile radius rule applies for candidate eligibility

  • Current ARRT certification in cardiac or vascular intervention (CV, CI, or VI), or RCIS certification required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • New Mexico state license required if applicable
  • Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program required
  • At least 1 year of radiologic experience required and 1 year of interventional or cath lab experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic equipment, cardiovascular anatomy, radiographic positioning, and basic computer skills required
  • Must be able to lift, push, and transfer patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs
