This position enhances technical operations by implementing integrations and assisting with database management to support Advancement's mission.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate and Innovate : Stay ahead of technology trends to identify and implement solutions for Advancement and the University, focusing on automation, system monitoring, and data analysis to improve performance.
- Develop and Manage Products : Manage Salesforce integrations and other essential database systems to enhance operational efficiency; ensure products are maintained, user-friendly, and optimized to support Advancement's needs.
- Optimize Operations : Maintain system stability and efficiency through proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning; oversee integration updates while complying with Advancement, university, and industry standards; document processes and support testing and deployment.
- Facilitate Fundraising Initiatives : Develop and maintain technical systems powering fundraising efforts; design workflows and configurations, improve integrations, and ensure platforms support donor outreach, engagement, and campaigns.
- Champion Philanthropy : Enhance donor engagement by connecting systems that manage donor data and communications; provide technical insights to improve donor management practices and fundraising outcomes.
Essential Functions
Purpose : Support fundraising by developing and maintaining systems enabling successful campaigns and donor engagement. Leverage tools such as Salesforce automation (Flows, Triggers) and API integrations.Collaboration : Work with Advancement teams to design workflows and configurations using Java, JavaScript (including Lightning Web Components), and SQL. Identify technology gaps and recommend improvements.Innovation : Evaluate new technologies, analyze system data, and implement tools to improve performance; work with web services (SOAP / REST), data formats (XML, JSON, YAML), and source control (Git).Production : Maintain and troubleshoot systems to ensure stability, efficiency, and compliance with standards; manage updates, documentation, testing, and user support.Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :Associate Systems Engineer : High school diploma and 8 years of relevant experience OR Associate's degree and 4 years OR Bachelor's degree and 0 years.
Systems Engineer : High school diploma and 11 years of relevant experience OR Associate's degree and 7 years OR Bachelor's degree and 3 years.
Scope of Experience : Relevant IT experience in the administration of distributed computer systems.Minimum Skills, Licenses, and Certifications : Strong attention to detail, ability to troubleshoot, clear communication, and organizational skills. Basic CRM knowledge (prefer Salesforce), REST / SOAP web services, and familiarity with cloud / hybrid integrations.Desired Qualifications
Experience with cloud-based integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft).Experience designing and implementing ETL processes.Experience integrating external systems with Salesforce CRM.Expertise in API design, API management, and integration architectures.Experience in higher education or nonprofit fundraising contexts.Posting Details
