Job Summary

The Demand Planning Manager will partner with Sales to build and own forecasting and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and forecasting. This position will lead the effort to transform our demand planning capabilities through advanced analytics. Will build and deploy predictive forecasting models and capabilities that enable a more nimble and customer-centric supply chain. This role will involve close collaboration with commercial, finance, and supply chain teams to deliver improved forecast accuracy and better financial results. This role will also own weekly forecast maintenance and summaries for internal meetings and monthly pacing vs budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Define and execute the modernization roadmap for demand planning and analytics.

Establish enterprise-wide forecasting standards and governance. Build and maintain baseline forecast assumptions that align Sales, Operations, Finance, and Marketing around one consensus plan.

Provide proactive insights on demand trends, customer behaviors, and supply-demand trade-offs.

  • Regularly update forecast tools with actual sales from various data systems across distributors, scan data, and customer specific portals.
  • Be an input / owner of the transition from manual forecasting to an integrated trade software-driven forecasting process
  • Lead reporting creation and communication of forecast accuracy, variances, and bias within both the portfolio and sales lead territories
  • Lead communication of forecast pacing in weekly S&OP meetings
  • Track post promotion ROI analysis and learnings tied to trade management in coordination with Category Strategy and the Trade Manager.
  • Develop monthly forecasting processes and standardized reporting to improve outputs to Production Planning and Finance
  • Clearly summarize and share portfolio and retailer risks, opportunities, and progress vs forecast and budget
  • Partner with Category Strategy on pricing and trade investments effect on forward looking forecast for baseline and promotional volume.
  • Lead the movement to utilize Power BI solutions to enhance internal reporting capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and / or 5+ years of experience in sales analytics, trade, planning or related field preferred
  • 5+ years previous experience specifically with first generation Excel based planning tools, trade management software and strategy / planning
  • 5 years experience in demand planning, supply chain analytics, or related leadership roles.
  • Strong command of Power BI and other analytic and Data Science platforms
  • Deep expertise with demand planning tools and techniques.

  • Ability to work across multiple data sources to provide a holistic perspective
  • Ability to influence decision making across multiple levels and functions of an organization to drive results
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities
  • Experience successfully working in and thriving with both small scaling and large brands
  • Experience using TPM systems (Vividly preferred)
  • Ability to make decisions and work with limited supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure and balance multiple tasks
  • Proficient with basic computer hardware and software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Good oral and written skills
  • Ability to be entrepreneurial and methodical
  • Results-oriented and process driven, with high expectations of self and team
  • Collaborative mindset with strength in effectively receiving and communicating feedback
  • Food Safety Responsibilities

  • Clearly reflect food safety and quality as part of the JP brand, when planning and executing projects, and while interacting with relevant external stakeholders.
  • Pay Rate : $110,000-$135,000
