Position Overview :
Candidate must be able to successfully pass a motor vehicle report. Driver will be responsible for driving the Vacuum trucks and Waterblast trucks to and from construction sites. Once arriving to the site, driver will be assisting crew operate truck and tools in a safe manner in wet / dirty environments including confined spaces. Candidate is required to provide proof of completed OSHA 10, or higher, within 60 days of original hire date.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Responsible for the operation and set- up of Vac and Blast operations
- Must maintain equipment, help in operation of equipment, understand ability of the equipment and operate in a safe manner
- Complete a vehicle inspection report to assure vehicle and equipment are safe to operate before leaving site.
- Connect and disconnect hoses, dump / unload materials, clean out truck tank after each use
- Understand different hose types, tips, and set ups.
- Obey traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate driving logs
- Immediately report all accidents, near misses, and injuries involving employees or others to the Safety Manager or Supervisors on site
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day (Climb ladders, Bending, twisting, lifting up to 50lbs, and Prolonged walking, standing
- Follows directions of managers / lead / superintendent and clarifies responsibility if needed
- Respects self, co-workers, managers, company, other contractors, and Clients
- Takes care of company owned and rented equipment returning in like manor
- Demonstrates knowledge of basic mechanical of trucks and equipment's and ability to fix basic mechanical problems
- Gather correct tools needed to perform the task assigned
- Ability to drive manual transmission
- Understands appropriate offload procedures
- Additional duties as assigned
