Job Title : School-Based Therapist

Location : Quincy, IL

  • Covering Quincy Public Schools

Department : Preferred Family Healthcare

Employment Type : Full-time

Shift : Monday - Friday

  • Candidates from all states are welcome to apply; however, Illinois licensure (LPC / LSW or LCPC / LCSW) is required for this role. Out-of-state applicants are encouraged to apply and must obtain the appropriate Illinois licensure prior to starting.

    As a therapist, you'll be responsible for assisting individuals in improving their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments and providing clinical guidance as they move towards recovery. You will complete intake / screening and / or comprehensive assessment processes, determine and document diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and participate in clinical staffing / treatment meetings.

  • IL LPC / LSW : $64,000-$67,000 / year
  • IL LCPC / LCSW : $68,000-$72,000 / year

  • Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling in various settings
  • Complete intake / screening and comprehensive assessments
  • Determine and document diagnoses based on assessments
  • Develop individualized treatment plans
  • Participate in clinical staffing and treatment meetings
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure service authorization
  • Document services in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Assist clients through transitions and complete final correspondence
  • Handle crisis situations and coordinate emergency services
  • Provide supervision to trainees (once professionally eligible)
  • Facilitate specialty services such as trauma and co-occurring therapy
  • Offer clinical consultation and training on evidence-based practices
  • Represent the agency professionally in the community
  • Maintain ethical and professional relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Complete all mandatory training
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership
  • Education and / or Experience Qualifications :

  • Must possess at least a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field.
  • Holds licensure with the applicable board of professional registration for the state that they are practicing as a professional counselor or social worker.
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Must be willing to become licensed in additional states, other than the state currently licensed in.
  • Must be willing and comfortable with providing telehealth services to the individuals we serve (training will be provided).
  • Required License / Certification (one of the following) :

  • LPC
  • LCSW
  • LMFT
