General Summary
Reporting to the Stability Services Director, this position supports the activities and operations of Capital Area Community Services (CACS, Inc.) Stability Services programs in the Community Organization (CO) division of the Agency. Funding sources for these activities include CSBG, HUD, MDHHS, MSHDA, TCOA, local county and other local community resources. This position performs and coordinates a wide variety of administrative duties including assisting with grants management and required reporting (programmatic and financial).
Pay Rate / Status : $28.51 / hour, Full Time, 40 hours per week.
Essential Functions :
- Supports the daily activities of the Stability Services Director
- Oversees key components of the CACS Home Repair Program
- Supports the activities of the Stability Services programs including, but not limited to, fiscal accountability and reporting requirements
- Ensures compliance with established Agency and funding source policies and procedures; assures individual program assignments are carried out as expected
- Ensures contractual requirements and established goals and objectives of all Stability Services programs are met
- Researches Requests for Proposals for new funding opportunities. Assists with or is responsible for renewal applications, as needed
- May represent and / or maintain Agency participation in local city and county government and human service activities, including the four local Continuums of Care, in lieu of designated staff, if needed
- Ensures client files, including the Agency's database, contain all required information and verifications for the tracking and reporting of all direct services provided
- Ensures that the confidentiality of all client files and records is maintained
- Serves as a role model to guide others along the self-sufficiency continuum
- May act on behalf of the Stability Services Director, as directed
- All other duties as may be assigned
Education Required
This position requires a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with course work in human or social services. MSW preferred.
Experience Required
Minimum of three years of related and progressively more responsible work experience in a human service or community service agency delivering services for vulnerable populations.Experience in budget preparation.Experience in grant writing.Experience in weatherization programs, construction projects, and / or other building programs preferred.Familiarity with federal / state / local programs and their reporting requirements.Demonstrated ability to effectively use database and reporting systems (EmpowOR, Airtable, EGrAMS) and other web-based computer systems as required by specific funding sources.Strong communication skills (both oral and written)Advanced computer software skills, specifically MS Office Suite.Strong analytical skills.Effective organizational skills.Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and guide others to greater independence and stability.Ability to work with a diverse population in an effective manner.The Education and Experience qualifications listed above are guidelines for selection purposes; alternative qualifications may be substituted if sufficient to perform the duties.
Full Time : 40 Hours per Week; 52 Weeks per Year
Entry Level : $28.51 per Hour
