As a Claims Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and supporting the growth and development of the Claims department. You’ll serve as a key resource for training, onboarding, vendor coordination, and cross-functional collaboration—ensuring our teams are equipped, informed, and empowered to succeed.

Responsibilities :

  • Support claims technology improvements by partnering with IT and business stakeholders to identify system enhancement opportunities, test new functionality, and ensure successful implementation and adoption.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards by supporting audits, maintaining documentation and promoting adherence to claims-related policies and procedures.
  • Support hiring and onboarding efforts within the Claims unit, assisting leaders with recruitment activities and day-to-day operational tasks.
  • Act as a primary liaison for external vendors supporting claims processing and systems, ensuring smooth coordination and issue resolution.
  • Develop and facilitate process training for both new hires and existing employees, using customized learning approaches tailored to business needs.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance departmental performance and achieve strategic goals.
  • Provide operational support by responding to inquiries from Claims and Claims Support teams, including questions related to systems navigation, financial processes, and customer-facing tasks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Claims Leadership, Quality Assurance, IT, and Project Management to assess needs and drive continuous improvement.
  • May assist with personnel management , including interviewing, onboarding, performance evaluation, and identifying individualized training opportunities as warranted.
  • Administer claims-related systems, including user access management, configuration updates, troubleshooting, and coordination with IT to maintain system integrity and performance.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in claims processing within the insurance sector is essential.
  • Must be proficient in the continuous use of computers and standard office equipment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required for effective interaction across multiple channels.
  • Licensed adjuster or ability to complete within 3 months.
