job_description.job_card.job_descriptionUnit : ACU Combo of Telemetry, medsurg, and DOU # beds : 50 beds Certs : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Ratios : 1 to 5 medsurg, 1 to 4 tele, 1 to 3 for DOU EMR : Cerner Charge Nurse : Yes Nurse Aides : depends on census Weekend Requirement : every other Holidays : one major and one minor Scrub Color : navy Tele Monitors : phillips they do have a monitor tech, NURSES MUST BE ABLE TO READ STRIPS Do nurses read strips : yes Drips : yes cardizem, amoidarone (non-titrating) Vents : yes bipap or cpap, DOU will sometime get chronic vents, travelers will not work DOU Hospitalist or Intensivist in house : Yes on call after hours, hospitalist is shared between SJRMC and SJPVH IV Team : No RT 24 / 7 : yes Pharmacy 24 / 7 : yes Shifts : 12 hr shifts, 6 : 45am-6 : 45pm, 6 : 45pm-6 : 45am, self scheduling but not guaranteed Floating : ACU will float between medsurg and tele Floor specific orientation : one shift at each facility Common diagnosis / Types of patients : post surgical, ortho, cardiac
