PCU RN Job Details Location : Shelby, NC 28150 – North Carolina healthcare jobs Unit : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – 32 beds Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract (August 25, 2025 – November 22, 2025) Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM) Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,570 - $1,680 Weekend Rotation : Every other weekend Holiday Coverage : 75% of holidays required Scrub Color : Navy Free Parking Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Registered Nurse) BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 18 months of recent Progressive Care Unit RN experience Clinical skills : tracheostomy care, cardiac gtt, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tube management, blood product administration, wound care, and central line management Ability to float within the region and scope of practice EPIC EMR experience preferred PCU Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU patients with conditions including CHF, dysrhythmia, chest pain, stroke, abdominal illnesses, respiratory illness, diabetes, AKI / CKD, ETOH withdrawal, and more Manage patient ratios of 1 : 4 (may flex to 1 : 5 based on acuity) Conduct assessments, administer medications, and deliver clinical interventions Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team : CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomy, IV / VAT team, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists Utilize advanced medical technology : Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Phillips monitors Float to other healthcare facilities within the region as needed Participate in orientation and ongoing professional development Apply now to join our healthcare team and experience a top travel nursing job in Shelby, North Carolina!
