Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced OR RN with strong orthopedic surgical background and a current KY or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Operating and Recovery Room of a hospital setting
  • Manage surgical cases with a focus on Ortho, as well as Endoscopy, General, and ENT cases
  • Shift is 07 : 00-15 : 30 with a 13-week contract
  • Scheduled for 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next in alternating rotation
  • Participates in a call rotation and works every 6th or 7th weekend
  • Duties include circulating in the OR for orthopedic, endoscopy, general, and ENT surgical cases
  • Orientation is provided bi-weekly
  • No block scheduling is allowed
  • Travel pairs are not permitted unless special circumstances apply
  • Candidates should be prepared for an interview if shortlisted
  • NIH certification is not required for this OR RN role

    • Requirements

  • Active Kentucky RN license or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent OR RN circulator experience
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Strong experience with orthopedic surgical cases required
  • Driver’s license and two professional references required for consideration
  • Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
  • Previous travel experience preferred
