Minimum of 2 years post-licensure clinical experience required. Approved by the BBS (or appropriate licensing board) to provide clinical supervision. Strong knowledge of California laws and regulations governing mental health services. Experience providing supervision in community mental health, private practice, or telehealth settings is a plus. Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Passion for mentoring and developing emerging clinicians. Flexible schedule with remote or hybrid options. About the Role :
Vivo HealthStaff is recruiting for a Mental Health Therapist Supervisor licensed in California to provide clinical supervision to pre-licensed mental health professionals. This position can be fully remote or hybrid, depending on your preference and location within California. As a supervisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the professional development of associates while ensuring ethical, evidence-based, and culturally responsive care for our clients.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide individual and / or group clinical supervision to associate-level clinicians (AMFTs, ASWs, APCCs).
- Review and approve clinical documentation including assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.
- Ensure supervisees meet the requirements and competencies as outlined by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
- Monitor supervisee caseloads and clinical performance to ensure high-quality care and adherence to legal and ethical standards.
- Assist with onboarding and ongoing training of new clinicians.
- Support supervisees in managing crisis situations, ethical dilemmas, and complex clinical cases.
- Collaborate with leadership to maintain compliance with clinical standards and program goals.
