Billing Assistant

With direct supervision, the Billing Assistant performs a variety of routine billing and data entry functions. The incumbent is responsible for the timely and accurate entry of new and updated customer contracts into the company's systems. The Billing Assistant properly prepares accurate and timely bills to customers based on service contract terms.

Principal responsibilities include :

• Entering new and updated customer contracts into system and updating existing customer contracts as needed.
• Comparing data entered to source documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Scanning source documents into the document storage system.
• Ensuring accurate and complete data is entered appropriately, making corrections when needed.
• Gathering and summarizing supplemental billing information to accommodate customer billing requirements.
• Transmitting digital customer billing invoices to customers and / or uploading billing information into customer payment platform.
• Ensuring all billing-related documents are properly stored and accessible in accordance with company policies.
• Performing other non-essential duties as assigned or necessary.
