Database Engineer

A company is looking for a Database Engineer who will specialize in the migration of customer data and database systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute data migration strategies for core database systems, primarily Postgres, MySQL, and MongoDB

Implement Change Data Capture (CDC) and logical replication setups for near-zero downtime cutovers

Develop automated scripts and tools to simplify common migration tasks in collaboration with the Platform Engineering team

Required Qualifications

6+ years of hands-on experience as a DBA, Database Engineer, or Data Migration Specialist

Deep production experience with at least two of Postgres, MySQL, or MongoDB

Expertise in replication technologies and techniques for data fidelity

Familiarity with cloud-native managed database services and migration tools

Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation tasks
