Transplant / Cell Therapy - Peds BMT - Clinical Investigator

Overview

Loma Linda University Health (Loma Linda University Cancer Center, Loma Linda University School of Medicine and Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group), Division of Transplant and Cell Therapy (TCT) / Hematological Malignancies is recruiting for faculty positions at open rank (Assistant / Associate / Professor) as clinical investigators, including leadership opportunities to join our team. We seek energetic faculty clinical investigators who desire to develop an academic, clinical research and patient-centered program in close collaboration with established basic and translational scientists at Loma Linda University. The successful candidate will have a primarily clinical assignment and will also develop, conduct, and participate in clinical trials and other collaborative research in blood and marrow transplantation and cellular immunotherapy.

Responsibilities

• Clinical service with a primary assignment, and development, conduct and participation in clinical trials and other collaborative research in blood and marrow transplantation and cellular immunotherapy.
• Teach and supervise residents, fellows, and mid-level providers during ambulatory and inpatient activities.
• Engage in development and implementation of novel therapies for hematological malignancies, including immune therapies (CAR-T, cell-based therapies, monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, gene therapy) and autologous / allogeneic hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation, when applicable.
• Collaborate with established basic and translational scientists and participate in a multidisciplinary academic environment.
• Contribute to the academic appointment and participate in the Cancer Center Clinical Trials Unit and related infrastructure.

The campus is located within driving distance of Los Angeles, the beach cities, and San Diego. LLU Children's Hospital is the major pediatric transplant and cell therapy center in the Inland Empire, with dedicated clinical and research facilities on the Medical School campus.
