Overview

Certification Test Technician (Temp to Hire) at Elevate Aircraft Seating. On-site role in Huntington Beach, CA. Elevate Aircraft Seating designs and manufactures aircraft seats and related products. Responsibilities

  • Set up, conduct and monitor dynamic, static and abuse / cycle testing.
  • Maintain test facility (cleanliness, organization, supplies, etc.).
  • Maintain test equipment and fixtures in good working order including calibrations, spare parts, procurement, maintenance, etc.
  • Design, build and oversee test fixtures / platforms.
  • Organize tools, hardware, and materials for easy access and use.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the Company's information and products.

Qualifications

  • Education : High School Diploma or GED required; Trade School or Certification preferred.
  • Experience : 2+ years' experience preferred.
  • Skills : Independent worker; professional behavior; hand tools (grinders, drills, hand-held power tools, files, screwdrivers, wrenches); basic woodworking (band saw, table saw, jigsaw, drill press, miter saw); ability to operate a forklift; fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Preferred skills / experience : Electronic or mechanical background; basic electrical knowledge (switch assembly / installation / wiring); 2+ years' experience with dynamic / static / abuse / cycle testing; FARO experience; welding experience; basic Excel; familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machine.
  • Other : Must be able to carry 40 pounds; extended or irregular hours may be required; must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Salary range : $24.00 - $26.00 per hour.
