Senior Quantum Systems Engineer - Investigator (Onsite)

Overview

Mission Systems Advanced Technology & Capabilities (ATC) seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead early-stage quantum sensing technology application programs. This role will lead a portfolio of related projects—coordinating roadmaps, guiding technology development efforts, and pursuing external funding. Programs apply quantum technology-based sensors designed to provide precision and sensitivity for fields such as navigation and communication. Requires strong experience with quantum sensing technology and ideally expertise in radio frequency systems engineering, integration, and testing.

Collins Mission Systems ATC focuses on cutting-edge DoD research and development projects. You will advance the state of the art through innovative system concepts and technological capabilities, collaborating with business unit engineers to adopt and transition technologies into Collins products and services. Location : HIA32 : Cedar Rapids, IA 400 Collins Rd NE, Cedar Rapids, IA, 52498-0505 USA. Onsite role. U.S. Citizenship is required for security clearance purposes; active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. DoD Clearance : TS / SCI.

Salary range : 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits as described below. RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the posting date; factors may shorten or extend this window.
