Position : Tax Professional (Jan. to May with the opportunity to return annually)
Location : South Bend, IN (8am-5pm with no overtime)

Overview of the Tax Professional Role :
Prepare and process 1040 individual tax returns (40%) - review client data, input interest and dividend information, and generate returns in the firm's tax software (similar to HR Block workflows).
Assist with 1041 fiduciary returns (30%) - learn fiduciary return software, handle broker consolidated forms, and bridge data between systems for review.
Review and organize 1099s and related tax documents (15%) - verify data for accuracy and completeness before submission.
Administrative and client support (15%) - assist with drafting letters, assembling tax packets, printing, and coordinating final client delivery.
Preferred Qualifications for the Tax Professional Role :
Prior experience preparing 1040 individual returns strongly preferred.
Highly accurate, organized, and detail-oriented with strong numerical aptitude.
Ability to learn new software quickly and follow structured review processes.
Background in Accounting, AP / AR, or administrative support is beneficial.
Professional, dependable, and eager to contribute during the annual tax season.
Salary :
$20-25 depending on experience.
