job_description.job_card.job_description4 year degree or equivalent work experience in a high speed manufacturing environment, preferably consumer packaged goods Minimum 2 - 4 years experience supervisory experience in a fast paced consumer packaged goods environment Better Process School Computer skills Self-motivation and safety awareness. Excellent communication and facilitation skills Ability to communicate with all levels of management and subordinates using both verbal and written formats Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization Self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work a flexible schedule Read written work orders, manuals, measurement instruments and company-posted work and safety policies, procedures and programs Requires employee to directly supervise others Fosters collaboration and teamwork. Gains support and commitment from within departments as well as with other divisions within the organization While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to loud noises, required to wear hearing protection May be exposed to hot, wet, or cool conditions Some travel may be available

A Day in the Life | Responsibilities We Trust You With :
- Oversee the production process looking for ways to improve efficiencies, meeting all production quotas and deadlines
- Assign work, analyze productivity, workflow, methods and procedures, making recommendations to management as appropriate
- Enforce all company policies and plant rules, to include but not limited to problem solving, development & implementation of standard operating procedures
- Completes production labor schedule by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules to minimize OT; resolving problems; reporting results of the shift production daily
- Maintains working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement where applicable
- Responsible to meet all food safety, quality and customer requirements for this position
