Position Overview : We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced New Construction Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and costs, and will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for new construction projects. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values precision, and is eager to contribute to a dynamic company.

Responsibilities

  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Analyze labor, material, and time requirements to determine project costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather and verify pricing information.
  • Prepare bid proposals, budgets, and cost analyses for new construction projects.
  • Monitor and evaluate actual project costs compared to estimated budgets, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Stay current with construction trends, material pricing, and industry regulations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a construction estimator, preferably in new construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (JobTread) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, math, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience estimating for both residential and commercial construction.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes.
