Mercy Health is seeking a dedicated, board-certified (or board-eligible) Neurosurgeon to join our dynamic Neurosurgery and Neuroscience team at the Mercy Health Neuroscience Institute. This role offers the opportunity to practice in both hospital and outpatient settings , focusing on the diagnosis and management of a broad range of neurosurgical conditions. We welcome applications from both experienced and early-career surgeons . Fellowship training is welcomed but not required. Practice Highlights Robust Clinical Practice – Busy ambulatory neurosurgery practice with a large internal and external referral base. Diverse Case Mix – Approximately 75% spine and 25% cranial cases , with exposure to a broad range of pathologies. Hospital Coverage – Neurosurgery call at St. Vincent Medical Center on a 1 : 4 rotation. Level 1 Trauma, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Level II Pediatric Neurosurgery. Academic Engagement – Neuroscience Clinical Faculty role, including resident education, didactics, multidisciplinary conferences (neuro-oncology, neurovascular, trauma), and grand rounds. Advanced Operating Room Resources Leica Microscopes Stryker & Stealth navigation systems Mazor X robotics – first in the region O-arm with trained radiology technicians Brain mapping & Omniscient Neurotechnology for neuro-navigation Integrated Services & Support 24 / 7 first call coverage by APCs and / or Residents Dedicated neurocritical care team with fellowship-trained neuro-intensivists Comprehensive admitting services including trauma, medicine, and neuro-critical care Neuro-endovascular program with two full-time interventional / stroke neurologists and fellows Outpatient PM&R and Pain Management services, integrated with spine program Inpatient Rehab staffed by Mercy physiatrists 24 / 7 access to EEG and MRI services Established clinical research infrastructure Qualifications Board Certified / Board Eligible in Neurosurgery Fellowship training welcomed but not required Commitment to academic teaching and mentoring of residents Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary plus production and quality incentives Sign-on bonus and relocation reimbursement.
