The Senior Commissions Analyst is responsible for administering and optimizing the company’s global commission and variable compensation programs. This position combines operational precision with process ownership, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all aspects of commission administration.

You’ll partner closely with Sales Operations, HR, Sales, and senior management to manage end-to-end commission processes, maintain system integrity, and drive ongoing improvements through automation and technology-enabled efficiencies.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Administer all finance-related aspects of our variable compensation and commission plans for the company's rapidly growing global sales team including developing and maintaining commissions models and monthly commissions calculation.
  • Act as the system administrator and expert for the Xactly Incent platform, ensuring the system is properly configured, maintained, and aligned with evolving commission structures.
  • Manage all Xactly administrative functions, including plan setup, data management, and process optimization to ensure accurate and timely commission payments.
  • Accurately record monthly General Ledger entries and reconcile variable compensation liability accounts in a timely fashion.
  • Work with Accounting and Payroll teams to communicate and process monthly commission payments accurately and on time.
  • Oversee and manage data flows across ERP, billing platform, and Xactly systems to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Track, research and resolve commission calculation-related inquiries including disputes and appeals.
  • Work closely with Human Resources and Sales Operations to understand commission plans, new hire offers including non-standard terms, leave of absences, and terminations.
  • Partner with all departments in accurately tracking all headcount changes including hires, terminations, transfers, and backfills.
  • Test the commission system to ensure the system can handle calculations for various company changes.
  • Effectively communicate with various levels of management, responding to inquiries from the sales force and sales management.
  • Use automation and AI-assisted tools to streamline validation, improve accuracy, and identify process improvements

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related area strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of sales compensation experience, preferably in the technology or SaaS industry.

  • Experience with Xactly is required, knowledge of NetSuite would be helpful.
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills; ability to analyze complex business problems and make sound business decisions.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, and modeling).Experience working in high-growth, performance focused environments and administering complex programs.
  • Strong, effective, and tactful communications skills.
  • Proven ability to manage confidential data and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience with automation or AI-supported financial processes a plus.
  • Ability to take initiative, work flexibly, and set priorities with minimal direct supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills, disciplined attention to detail, highly organized and thorough.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines.
