Production Manager

Responsibilities
- Promote a safety-first culture by ensuring training, audits, and safety certifications are in place.
- Enforce safety policies, conduct plant tours, and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
- Investigate environmental incidents and spills; implement energy-saving practices.
- Monitor production and process audits to ensure quality standards are met.
- Investigate off-quality and customer complaints; lead corrective actions to improve product quality.
- Coordinate with planning teams to meet production schedules efficiently.
- Control labor, supply, and operating costs to optimize production expenses.
- Support and lead waste reduction and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with raw material and inventory systems.
- Provide performance reviews, coaching, and training to develop team members.
- Maintain attendance and performance records for team management.
- Encourage associate participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as a backup to the Senior Production Manager when needed.
- Approve batch sheets and process changes as necessary.
- Support training system development and oversee payroll / timekeeping reviews.
Essential Skills
Experience in production supervision and management.Demonstrated leadership skills.Experience in chemical manufacturing.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering preferred; candidates with a degree in Chemistry will be considered with relevant experience.Previous management experience with teams.Work Environment
The manufacturing floor offers a laid-back atmosphere, focusing on colorants for household products, such as those found in TIDE PODS. The Dewey Plant is currently undergoing a major reorganization, providing a unique opportunity to be part of building back its talent. With around 60 operators on site, you will manage 20 at a time.

This is a Permanent position based out of Inman, South Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00 / yr.
