Job Description

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare opportunity is available for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN / LVN) specializing in school-based care. This contract position focuses on providing vital one-on-one nursing support to a student requiring specialized medical attention.

Location :

St. Charles, IL area

Key Responsibilities :

Provide one-to-one nursing care, including monitoring and support throughout the school day

Administer approximately eight gastrostomy tube (G-tube) feedings daily with precision and care

Manage diabetic care by monitoring blood glucose levels using Blue Loop, calculating carbohydrates, and administering insulin as prescribed

Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to ensure consistent, safe, and effective care tailored to the students unique medical needs

Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of medical care and munication with relevant parties

Qualifications :

Current and valid LPN or LVN license

Experience in pediatric nursing or school nursing preferred

Skilled in gastrostomy tube feedings and diabetic care management

Ability to use technology like the Blue Loop app for glucose monitoring

Strong munication and organizational skills
