Distribution Center Team Member
This role involves managing various warehouse operations, including receiving, sorting, staging, replenishment, picking, packing, and shipping. The successful candidate will be proficient in using SAP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to ensure high levels of productivity and quality. This position also requires flexibility and the ability to quickly learn new tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Determine daily work schedule as directed by the supervisor.
- Perform equipment inspections and complete proper documentation before operating.
- Unload shipments using forklifts or pallet jacks and ensure correct storage.
- Conduct a 3-way match to validate product part numbers and quantities received.
- Input data accurately into SAP and WMS.
- Transport pallets from receiving to designated storage locations.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies using paperwork and WMS.
- Replenish products and scan them into designated locations using RF guns.
- Pick inventory and prepare it for shipping following company guidelines.
- Consolidate pallets for multiple orders to optimize shipping costs.
- Participate in daily cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Maintain productivity and strive to reduce order throughput time.
- Ensure facility and equipment cleanliness and perform 5S activities.
- Identify and resolve technical errors from manufacturing and vendors.
- Assist other team members and perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Proficient in SAP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).Licensed and proficient in operating material handling equipment, including forklifts and order pickers.Strong counting and math skills.Ability to lift and move items weighing 50 pounds or more.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Detail-oriented with a focus on quality standards.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.3+ years of warehouse experience.Experience in cycle counting.Certification in material handling equipment.5S and Lean manufacturing experience preferred.Punctuality and reliability are essential.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is a climate-controlled warehouse setting. Employees are expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhere to safety guidelines, and work in a fast-paced, labor-intensive atmosphere. The role may require travel up to 10% of the time.

This is a Contract position based out of McPherson, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.50 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
