Job Description & Requirements Specialty : House Supervisor Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 10 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel House Supervisor Psychiatric Unit 2 years exp required Psychiatric Unit, RN pa or compact license Required Certifications ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) Shift Notes 1900-0730- must work 3 out of the 6 major holidays- eow required Clinical & Operational Info Certifications Required : BLS (required) CPI (required, can be completed onsite) Experience Required : Minimum 2 years in similar psych setting IVs : None Physical Restraints : Used if needed, low frequency Restraint team available Competency and sign-off during orientation Common Tasks : Admissions (none overnight) Med pass (patients come to med window) Assessments Group facilitation (mostly med education) Assisting with meals (techs deliver) Psych RN - House Supervisor (Night Shift) – Job Overview Assignment Details Role : RN House Supervisor – Psych setting Shifts : 12-hour nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM) Schedule : Every other weekend required Holidays : Rotates with permanent staff Orientation : 2 days unit / department-specific Facility Overview Setting : Acute Psychiatric & Medical Detox Facility Patient Population : Primarily indigent, low-violence population; co-occurring disorders Admissions : Direct admits only; no ER on-site (nearest ER is 2 hours away) Emergency Care : BLS only; call 911 for medical emergencies Supervision : 24 / 7 House Supervisor (you); another Rehab Supervisor coming soon Security : 24 / 7 coverage Unit Descriptions (You will cover all below) Acute Units Unit 1 : Locked, Co-ed, ages 55, depression, schizophrenia, personality disorders Stay : 10–14 days Unit 2 : Locked, co-ed, addiction psych, 72-hour holds, detox from jail or other facilities Stay : 10–14 days Detox Units Unit 1 : Medically assisted detox (Suboxone, Methadone), fewer comorbidities Stay : 5–7 days Unit 2 : Same as Unit 1, but more comorbidities (e.g., diabetics, basic wounds, CPAP users) Stay : 5–7 days Staffing & Ratios RN Coverage : 1 RN (prefer 2) per unit Support Staff : 1–2 Psych Techs per unit Charge Nurse : Not applicable – House Supervisor on-site 24 / 7 Floating : Required – will float between Acute and Detox; may float to Rehab (easier, fewer tasks) Rehab Unit (For Floating) No admissions Similar workflow Even easier workload Med cart, assessments by exception Key Soft Skills & Culture Fit Strong communication with physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, addiction counselors Must be highly motivated , compassionate , and active — not idle Culture is non-punitive but closely monitored (CEO walks the floor, camera-monitored) Facility strongly supports removing mental health and addiction stigma Must be comfortable with patients walking freely around campus Facility enforces compliance : noncompliant patients are removed Dress Code Scrubs : Navy blue (white / navy undershirts allowed) Tattoos : Must be covered Nails : No artificial nails Scheduling Info Shift Options : 12-hour (6 : 45–7 : 15) or 8-hour (6 : 45, 2 : 45, 10 : 45 start times) On-call : None Holidays / Weekends : Rotates in with staff, every other weekend required About Talent4Health A leader and innovator, offering comprehensive talent solutions for the healthcare industry across the nation.
