Description :

You are being considered for a position in a region susceptible to hurricanes.

The hurricane season typically runs from June 1 to November 30, but storms can occur outside of this period.

Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, your unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team".

There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the storm passes or be part of the relief team.

Specific details pertaining to pay will be communicated during each storm as impacts may vary.

You should not apply during the hurricane season if you are uncomfortable with these expectations.

Patient ratios during the day will be 5.

You will be responsible for providing care to adults and geriatrics.

The daily census is approximately 25 cases.

You will work in a unit that features 6 rooms and has a total of 28 beds.

The unit receives interdisciplinary support including services like Physical Therapy, Radiology, and Pharmacy.

The position requires skills in various procedures, including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations.

You will handle emergency medications and assist with monitoring procedural sedation.

Your role may involve working weekends, with coverage required every 3rd to 4th weekend.

Call is required 1 to 2 days per week.

The facility does not accept local travelers within 65 miles from the site.

Patient diagnoses vary, and the role involves a range of special procedures and equipment.

Documentation and charting experience are preferred.

Manager or supervisor references will be required before starting the contract.

Please ensure all certifications are current and properly documented.
