Tri-State Bobcat, a recognized leader in compact equipment, is seeking a motivated Sales Representative to join our growing team in Burnsville.
We're looking for an experienced and driven professional to promote, build, and sell our full line of compact construction and outdoor power equipment. In this role, you'll be responsible for generating new business, nurturing relationships with existing customers, and representing Tri-State Bobcat's complete offering of products and services.
The ideal candidate is passionate about sales, has a solid understanding of the construction and heavy equipment industries, and thrives on building long-term customer partnerships. This full-time position is based out of our Burnsville location, with majority of the time spent in the field with clients and the remainder in the office. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM. Compensation includes a competitive base salary of $60,000–$80,000 plus bonuses based on sales performance.
Essential Functions :
- Manage and grow sales within the established territory, fostering relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities for expansion.
- Identify and engage prospective customers to assess needs and present solutions.
- Conduct on-site demonstrations and operate machinery at customer locations.
- Prepare and manage all sales documentation including purchase agreements, proposals, and financing contracts.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of sales activity using internal systems.
- Attend company-provided training programs, including occasional out-of-state travel.
- Collaborate with the sales manager and marketing team to generate leads and drive market presence.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Tri-State Bobcat products and competitor offerings to recommend the best equipment solutions.
- Provide post-sale support and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Manage logistics related to product delivery, including coordinating with internal departments and customers.
- Represent Tri-State Bobcat at trade shows and customer-facing events.
Minimum Qualifications :
5+ years of equipment sales or closely related experience strongly preferredDemonstrated success in business development, customer relationship management, and consultative sales.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.Self-driven, organized, and results-oriented with a sense of urgency.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; able to learn new platforms quickly.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.Ability to travel locally and occasionally out of state for training.Position Benefits :
