Position : Process Engineering Technician / Mold
Location : Dublin, OH 43016
Duration : 12 Months
Job Type : Temporary Assignment
Work Type : Onsite
Shift : 10 : 30 PM a0 7 : 00 AM (SUN - Thurs)
Responsibilities
- Under direct supervision, this individual will perform a broad range of tasks involving molding production support.
- This includes equipment and process set-up, troubleshooting production problems, continuous improvement initiatives.
- Additional responsibilities include the performance of simple maintenance.
- Maintain a controlled injection molding process by using a scientific and systematic approach
- Daily Mold cleanings, mold setup and mold pull activities.
- Receives work order and verifies that the components are correct.
- Verifies work before proceeding with operations.
- Completes all documentation correctly and consistently, maintaining minimal errors in production paperwork.
- Follow all safety guidelines of the molding area including utilization of PPE.
- Monitor production for accuracy and efficiency and work with quality inspectors to ensure part quality / performance
- Make minor electrical and mechanical repairs and adjustments to machines / tools
- Identify and lead lean initiatives using clientcontinuous improvement system.
- Mentor Setup and Process Technicians
- Perform Line Clearance and document process parameters
- Perform material handling duties and activities as required
- Perform all process tech I duties and activities as required
- Must perform tasks as directed by manager
Knowledge & Skills (Qualifications)
Must have strong knowledge of Plastic ProcessingDemonstrate ability to set / start / and complete first article inspections. Capturing plastic conditions, mold cavity balance and complete paperworkAbility to identify different molding defectsAbility to consistently meet set standards for cycle times on molding machines1 year knowledge of take-out robots and EOATAbility to set up hot runner controlsGeneral hydraulic and pneumatic experienceAbility to graph data that can be used for a path to problem solvingExperience with robotics and automated delivery systems preferredAbility to read and interpret mechanical / mold drawingsAbility to train / transfer knowledge to othersCapable of advanced trouble shooting skillsMust be a creative problem solver with the ability to troubleshoot a variety of processing issuesSafety drivenExcellent attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Good written and oral communications skillsAbility to work in a team environmentStrong interpersonal skillsCollaborative work style and commitment to get the job doneMinimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
Must be at least 18 years of ageHigh School Diploma required3+ years Injection Molding with Setup or Manufacturing experience preferred OR3 years injection Molding / Manufacturing experience plus certification in lieu of experienceWork is performed in a clean room environmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time; depending on the machine they are operatingOperator is required to use computer or touch screen to enter work order dataMust be able to occasionally move and lift objects of up to 50 poundsTekWissen Group is an equal opportunity employer supporting workforce diversity.
