Job Description

Protouch Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Illinois.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Specialty : PCU - Progressive Care Unit
  • Discipline : RN
  • Start Date : 10 / 20 / 2025
  • Duration : 16 weeks
  • 48 hours per week
  • Shift : 12 hours, nights
  • Employment Type : Travel

Unit & Skills Requirements :

  • Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, PCU / DOU / IMC experience
  • Dysrhythmia interpretation & management, rapid response participation
  • Cardiovascular : Post-MI, post cardiac cath / surgery, sheath removal, TR band care
  • GI : Feeding tube management
  • Renal : Pre / post hemodialysis, renal failure care
  • IV / Phlebotomy : PICC, central & peripheral line management, blood products, arterial lines, IV starts
  • Medications : Heparin protocols, cardiac / vasoactive drips, PCA, procedural sedation, titration experience
  • Neuro : Craniotomy, CVA, spinal cord injury, TBI, pre / post neurosurgery
  • Ortho : Trauma, nerve block catheters, total joint replacement
  • Plastics : Skin grafts, surgical drains
  • Respiratory : Ventilator care, trach management, HFNC, CPAP / BiPAP, chest tubes, ABG interpretation
  • Wound care, wound vac, isolation precautions

    • Other Info :

  • Cerner EMR preferred
  • Teaching hospital & Level I trauma experience preferred
  • Acute care hospital, 562 beds
