PURPOSE OF ROLE

  • Partner with management, business leaders, and HR Business Partners to deliver HR solutions that maximize people performance, strategy, and workforce planning, thereby strengthening business performance.
  • Develop a strong relationship between HR and the business, acting as a trusted advisor by providing professional, commercially focused advice to line management and teammates.
  • Identify challenges faced by business managers through regular meetings, establish clear people plans, and assist in implementing these plans alongside business and HR strategies.
  • Support execution of EMEA HR strategy, working closely with HRBP and other HR divisions to ensure effective delivery of HR projects.
  • Provide local support on employee relations activities, coordinate investigations, and manage ER processes in accordance with local legislation to minimize risk.
  • Promote HR best practices, ensuring managers implement HR policies effectively.
  • Manage long-term sickness cases and proactively handle absence management.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize HR Analytics to identify areas for improvement and develop interventions for change, such as reducing attrition or improving performance.
  • Support workforce planning with HRBP and Talent Acquisition to improve resourcing solutions, influence key role appointments, and reduce vacancies.
  • Support talent management, succession planning, and leadership development at a local level, working with managers to identify key talent and devise retention and development plans.
  • Coach and support the HR Project Coordinator and HR Coordinator.
  • Research HR trends and employment legislation to recommend necessary changes.
  • Analyze and improve HR processes on a day-to-day basis.
  • Advise on employee development and talent management strategies.
  • Guide recruitment and selection procedures.
  • Conduct performance and evaluation interviews.
  • Assist managers with HR advice and support.
  • Help draft employment and personnel regulations, updating them as laws change.
  • Coordinate with HR operations to align local HR needs and changes.
  • Support employees with HR-related questions.
  • Act as HR contact for government agencies, insurance brokers, and external parties.
  • Coordinate ARBO activities, inspections, and prevention activities in the office.
  • Assist in implementing HR strategies alongside the HR manager.
  • PROFILE

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources.
  • 2-3 years of HR experience, preferably in an advisory role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and a team player.
  • Thorough knowledge of Belgian labor law and regulations.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
