Parc Center for Disabilities’ Bert Muller Home (BMH) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide quality healthcare services to our residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of those we serve in a residential care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and regulations.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation (MAR, nursing notes, physician orders, infection control reports).
- Assess residents daily for changes in physical, mental, or neurological status, and arrange follow-up care when needed.
- Deliver first aid or emergency treatment as appropriate.
- Monitor vital signs, weights, diet, hygiene, and overall health of residents.
- Maintain infection control, safety, and compliance throughout the facility.
- Act as building charge nurse in the absence of supervisory staff.
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and other staff to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in required trainings, meetings, and assessments.
Requirements : Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of professional or practical nursing.Current Florida LPN license in good standing.One year of experience in a hospital, nursing home, public health, or similar environment preferred.Experience with individuals with intellectual / developmental disabilities is highly desired.Strong organizational, written, and communication skills.Physical Requirements
Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.Ability to respond quickly to the physical and medical needs of residents.Visual and auditory awareness sufficient to ensure resident safety.Schedule : 9 : 30 PM – 5 : 30 AM, 40 hours per week
