Overview
The ECMO Lead must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to work with all patient populations, and be well organized. The ECMO Lead will be responsible for managing the ECMO team, including daily staffing and assignments, ensuring backup equipment is accessible, supplies are stocked and readily available, and performing training for ECMO Specialists according to UF Health ECMO policy. Additional responsibilities include updating and creating policies for the ECMO team, performing the duties of an ECMO Specialist, adjusting and creating staff schedules, reviewing and tracking quality improvement initiatives reported to the ECMO Coordinator, responding to Emergency Cardiopulmonary Resuscitations (eCPR), ensuring equipment readiness, and notifying hospital administration of staffing or resource concerns.

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation (Required) :
(Refer to CP 1.51) : Employee in this position will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose. Note : A frequent driver is defined as one who uses personal or Shands vehicles at least once daily, at least five times per week, or drives over 150 miles per week for work. Please indicate the appropriate operator designation on the RFP form when submitting for this position.
