Must have EMR / EHR experience; Strongly prefer someone with EMA EHR or eClinical Works. Must have successfully completed a Medical Assisting program from an accredited university. Nationally Certified / Registered MA strongly preferred. Must be willing to take the National Exam if not.
Medical Assistant Position
Hire Up Staffing & Healthcare is looking for a Medical Assistant who is interested in joining a recognized healthcare company in Houston, TX.
Pay $18+DOE Hours : M-F 8-5pm (must be flexible)
Responsibilities :
- Prepare examination rooms for patients before and in between visits
- Escort patients to examination rooms
- Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts
- Send out prescriptions and complete prior authorizations for prescriptions
- May be required to float to other clinics as needed
- Other duties as assigned
