Overview

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. A full-time position is available for a refrigeration engineer.

Responsibilities

Conduct job-site surveys; calculate refrigeration requirements for process cooling and building loads
Assist in the development of project documentation including : drawings, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's), equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc.
Select and apply system equipment to new and existing systems
Coordinate technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors and clients
Some travel will be required

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have all of the following :

Bachelor\'s degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university

At least five years of relevant mechanical experience

PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states

Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience with any / all of the following : project management; ammonia refrigeration design; chilled water / hydronic design; equipment selection; developing piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs); Microsoft Office software; mentoring less experienced staff.
