Opportunity : RN - ED ER Job Details : - Multiple shifts available with in-time varying from 3 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 PM - Full-time position available starting as soon as possible - Nurse to patient ratio of 1 : 4-5 - Weekend requirement : 6 weekend days worked per 6 weeks - On-call requirement : 2 on-call shifts per 6 weeks for emergencies or extra shifts as needed - Floating may be requested but unlikely due to census - Required certifications : Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications from AHA - RN License in state of employment or compact state required - 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred - Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred - Attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire - Complete preceptorship with designated trained staff member - Must complete organizational entry competency validation and Emergency Department-specific competency validation - Annual competency verification requirements must be maintained - Care for diverse patient population including clinic-type patients to strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy complications, pediatrics, behavioral health, and all emergency department cases - Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation - Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness - Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided - Assess learning needs and provide patient / family education Facility : This healthcare organization operates as part of a comprehensive medical network providing emergency services and trauma care to the community.
