Description :
Manage on-site operations, including coordinating subcontractors, to ensure projects are completed on time.
Oversee quality control, perform Quality Inspections, and ensure compliance with safety regulations, OSHA and company policies.
Review and interpret construction drawings and plans to ensure work is executed according to specifications.
Communicate regularly with the Project team and provide updates on project progress.
Manage sub-contractors
Our client has multiple solar sites throughout the state ranging from 660 kw to 6 MW.
Construction Superintendents will be responsible for managing the day to day operations / administrative duties on site.
A typical day will start with them on site in the trailer and managing the construction of the project.
They will be reporting directly into the construction manager for the projects and will be responsible for sending them daily reports of progress and safety.
Will manage the sub vendors on site and work with the foreman from their sub vendors.
Additional Duties Include :
Coordination of work on site
Managing the inventory and deliveries on-site
Taking pictures of progress and reporting back to the PM
Inspections
Documenting information from other contractors / engineers and making sure the information gets passed along to the right people.
Typically first one on and last one off the job site.
Additional Skills & Qualifications :
SWPPP certification, OSHA 30, NFPA70E, First Aid CPR and AED certifications are required. (We can get candidates these trainings prior to starting free of cost if they do not already have them.)
Rooftop solar experience.
Strong experience in civil construction, electrical and mechanical in Solar Construction.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings (civil, electrical, and mechanical)
Proficient with Procore, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Familiar with Apple iPad's.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to travel as required.
Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00 / hr.
