About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Certifications : BLS required

Must-Have : Experience in ortho surgery including joint replacements, fractures, shoulders, and podiatry cases

Description :

Seeking a competent nurse to provide routine and complex care in a surgical setting.

The nurse will practice independently and demonstrate awareness of relevant clinical aspects.

Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.

The nurse will address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.

Administer medications and treatments following appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.

Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.

Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.

The role requires weekend shifts and on-call duty every other week.

Floating to other units may be required if not needed in the primary unit.

The nurse will be responsible for a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1 : 5.
