Job Summary :
The Certified Nurse's Assistant (CNA) assists providers and nurses with patient care, initiates patient flow, maintains the environmental areas of the clinic and examination rooms and assists with telephoning and filing.

A ssists patients to exam roomsObtains vital signsObtains, evaluates and records patient history as per protocolsPerforms CLIA-waived testsCollects and process specimensComplies with established risk management and safety proceduresComplies with quality assurance practicesPerforms electrocardiography and respiratory testingPerforms standard precautions, including hand washing and disposal of bio- hazardous materialsReceives, organizes, prioritizes, stores and maintains transmittable information utilizing electronic technology.Makes appointments and schedules referrals as directedMakes copies and faxes documents as requestedMakes correct entries in patient charts and checks appointment datesManages the care of patients in collaboration with other health professionals and members of the healthcare team in order to make decisions about treatment and attain health goals.Performs quality assurance on glucometersRestocks and straightens exam roomsPerforms other duties of a CNA as requiredCompetencies

High School Diploma or equivalentCPR CertifiedTraining verification as a CNA requiredTwo (2) years of successful experience in a clinical setting preferredPhysical Requirements :
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, hand / eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to deliver medical services and use equipment.Ability to work in conditions that include exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissues, contagious diseases and / or other potentially hazardous materialsFine motor coordination sufficient to perform manipulative skillsModerate physical exertion including frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching and carrying moderately heavy loads (up to 25 lbs.)
