job_description.job_card.job_descriptionA ssists patients to exam rooms Obtains vital signs Obtains, evaluates and records patient history as per protocols Performs CLIA-waived tests Collects and process specimens Complies with established risk management and safety procedures Complies with quality assurance practices Performs electrocardiography and respiratory testing Performs standard precautions, including hand washing and disposal of bio- hazardous materials Receives, organizes, prioritizes, stores and maintains transmittable information utilizing electronic technology. Makes appointments and schedules referrals as directed Makes copies and faxes documents as requested Makes correct entries in patient charts and checks appointment dates Manages the care of patients in collaboration with other health professionals and members of the healthcare team in order to make decisions about treatment and attain health goals. Performs quality assurance on glucometers Restocks and straightens exam rooms Performs other duties of a CNA as required Ability to follow established procedures and maintain high level of organization Ability to learn reasonably quickly Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to multi-task Ability to relate to persons of various economic levels and cultures Ability to remain relaxed and calm under stressful situations Ability to speak and write fluently in English; Spanish desirable Ability to work independently and cooperatively Above average level of interest in working with people and data Cooperative and non-competitive attitude with ability to take initiative Demonstrates integrity, professionalism and superior customer service skills while working in a fast-paced, moderately stressful environment High proficiency in nursing procedures and use of medical equipment appropriate to the job Patient and staff friendly with excellent communication skills Proficiency in use of telephone system, computer, and basic office equipment Working knowledge of adult and / or pediatric nursing and medications High School Diploma or equivalent CPR Certified Training verification as a CNA required Two (2) years of successful experience in a clinical setting preferred Ability to stand for extended periods of time, hand / eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to deliver medical services and use equipment. Ability to work in conditions that include exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissues, contagious diseases and / or other potentially hazardous materials Fine motor coordination sufficient to perform manipulative skills Moderate physical exertion including frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching and carrying moderately heavy loads (up to 25 lbs.)
