Day shifts, 3x12-hour (07 : 00 - 19 : 00), with every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery for our LDRP unit. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care for obstetrical patients in labor, during delivery, and postpartum, ensuring both maternal and newborn health.

Responsibilities

Assist with vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections.

Provide postpartum care for both vaginal and surgical patients.

Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients.

Monitor fetal heart rates, recognizing and treating abnormal patterns.

Administer medications, including antihypertensives and pain management options such as opioids and epidural anesthesia.

Insert and manage Foley catheters and perform fundal, lochia, and perineum care.

Conduct newborn assessments and provide discharge teaching to parents.

Utilize Meditech / IntelliSpace Perinatal for documentation and Pyxis for medication management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery or LDRP settings.

Current BLS and NRP certification required.

New York nursing license must be in hand prior to start.

Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and administration of blood products preferred.
