Job Title : Physical Therapist Per Diem

Location : Shasta Regional Medical Center California

Position Summary :

Shasta Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to join our Per Diem Rehabilitation Services team . The Physical Therapist provides comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments to patients with functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in mobility due to illness, injury, or surgery. This role may include on-call coverage and the flexibility to work 4x10-hour shifts based on departmental needs.

Key Responsibilities :

Evaluate and assess patients' physical function, mobility, strength, and balance.

Develop individualized treatment plans to improve function, reduce pain, and promote independence.

Implement evidence-based interventions in accordance with physician orders and care plans.

Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe activity techniques.

Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately in the EMR.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehab professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Maintain compliance with all state practice regulations, hospital policies, and professional standards.

Qualifications (Legally Required) :

Active California Physical Therapist (PT) License required

BLS (AHA) certification required

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program required

Minimum 2 years of recent acute or inpatient rehab experience required per company policy

Shift Details :

Type : Per Diem / On-Call

Schedule : May include 4x10-hour shifts, variable based on patient census and department needs

Setting : Inpatient Rehabilitation / Acute-Care Hospital
