Primary Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Senior Transportation Project Engineer are to provide project engineering and utility coordination with a focus on transportation projects and public transportation clients throughout the Southern California Region. Anticipated work tasks may include; develop utility basemaps, coordinate with utility owners and agencies, develop relocation strategies, assist in preparation of cost estimates, preparation of engineering plans and specification for utility relocations. Will work independently as well as assist groups of medium to large teams of professionals and technicians dependent on project / task. Will be involved in highway and railroad utility design and plans production for utility owners and Municipal clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• California PE certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to read and understand civil transportation engineering design plans
• Ability to read and understand utility installation and adjustment plans
• Ability to prepare pipeline drawings : plan view, pipeline profiles, cross sections, and utility details
• Experience delivering Caltrans drainage projects
• Preference given to local candidates

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
