Agricultural Credit Analyst
About the Role
We’re seeking an Agricultural Credit Analyst to join our team. This role provides the opportunity to build strong foundational skills in credit analysis and underwriting, while working closely with experienced credit professionals. The position supports loan officers and loan committees by preparing sound credit recommendations and contributing to the overall lending process.
Key Responsibilities
Develop core credit underwriting skills to independently assess basic credits.
Analyze borrower financial information, including balance sheets, tax returns, cash flow, and credit reports.
Evaluate financial ratios against internal standards and industry benchmarks.
Project long-term profitability using historical data and agricultural market trends.
Gain working knowledge of credit processes, procedures, compliance requirements, and related technology.
Participate in loan committee discussions, including presenting and voting on credit recommendations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn.
