Working under the direction of the Executive Director, the Regulatory Affairs Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping NEET's regulatory strategy across the United States and Canada. This position requires close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders including regulatory agencies, regional transmission and planning organizations, legislative bodies, and executive branches of state and provincial governments.

The Manager will lead regulatory initiatives, manage complex dockets, and ensure alignment with NEET's strategic objectives in a dynamic and evolving transmission landscape.

The Regulatory Affairs Manager will play a pivotal role on the team, overseeing all NEET regulatory matters, including rate cases, filings, and open dockets. They will work closely with the Legal, Regulatory Political Affairs, and Business Management teams to develop and implement regulatory strategies that align with company goals.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leverage and champion the use of technology and AI tools to optimize regulatory workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze regulatory developments, including laws, proceedings, decisions, and orders from relevant agencies and organizations.
  • Support complex regulatory matters, including rate cases, filings, and open docketsensuring timely execution and strategic alignment.
  • Manage cross-functional project timelines, task assignments, testimony development, and discovery coordination.
  • Create clear, concise PowerPoint presentations and other communication materials that distill complex regulatory and business concepts, deliver actionable recommendations to inform management decisions, and engage stakeholders.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, leveraging deep regulatory expertise and a collaborative mindset.

Required Qualifications

Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Law, Public Policy, Government Affairs, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications preferred (e.g., MBA, MS, JD, CPA, Certified Paralegal).
  • Experience :

  • 5+ years of experience in regulated utility sectors, with a focus on regulatory rate matters, compliance, and project management in energy, infrastructure, or transmission environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or supporting rate cases, cost recovery mechanisms, and regulatory filings, including working with FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) reporting and revenue requirements.
  • Experience working with tariffs and navigating Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs), Independent System Operators (ISOs), and FERC rules and procedures.
  • Skills :

  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity and streamline deliverables.
