Responsibilities
Administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients as prescribed.
Monitor and assess patient progress and response to therapy.
Educate patients and families on respiratory health and treatment plans.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize patient care strategies.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in respiratory care.
Utilize performance metrics to track and improve personal success.
Engage in team meetings to discuss patient care and performance outcomes.
Identify and address any issues affecting patient care or therapy effectiveness.
Assist in the development of respiratory care protocols and guidelines.
Promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork and accountability.
Experience / Qualifications
Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Iowa.
Proven experience in administering respiratory therapy treatments.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
Strong understanding of respiratory health and treatment plans.
Ability to monitor and assess patient progress effectively.
Experience collaborating within a healthcare team.
Ability to utilize performance metrics to track success.
Excellent communication skills for patient and family education.
Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards in healthcare.
Proactive in identifying and resolving patient care issues.
