Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Seeking Special Education Teachers for K-12 settings with a focus on supporting diverse learners. These contract positions are available for the 25 / 26 school year, primarily serving students with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) and Developmental Delays (DD).

Location : Des Plaines, IL, and Chicago, IL (multiple campuses)

Type : Contract, NSY (Non-School Year) positions available

Grade Levels : K-8

Responsibilities :

Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities, supporting both push-in and pull-out interventions.
Deliver targeted support in reading fluency and comprehension as well as foundational math skills.
Manage an average caseload of approximately 20 students per teacher.
Collaborate with general education staff to integrate supports effectively across various classrooms.
Monitor student progress and adjust individualized instruction based on student needs.

Qualifications :

Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement.

Experience working with K-12 students demonstrating diverse learning needs, particularly SLD and DD.

Strong understanding of inclusive practices and ability to implement evidence-based instructional strategies.

Capable of effectively managing both push-in and pull-out teaching models.
