Additional Information About the Role BJC HealthCare is seeking a Sr. Supply Distribution Technician to join our receiving team to support Barnes Jewish Hospital and St Louis Children's Hospital!

Schedule : Monday Friday 6 : 30 AM 3 : 00 PM

This position will work primarily on the North Receiving Dock processing packages and pallets delivered throughout their shift. Responsibilities will include working as part of a team to unload trucks as they arrive and process packages through the receiving process. This includes opening all packages and verifying contents on a handheld, contacting customers / vendors and doing deliveries up into St. Louis Childrens Hospital and Barnes Jewish Hospital.

Role Purpose

Oversees daily management of medical material (supplies, equipment and linen) for multiple departments throughout the hospital and / or network. Primary duties will include supply room and warehouse cleaning and organization, department customer service, reviewing item par levels and usage with department leadership, bin optimization, material ordering, receiving and stocking, assisting with manufacturer recall notifications / usage investigations. Aids in training, mentoring and developing new Supply Technicians. Performs other duties as assigned. Senior Supply Techs should be able to perform all core competencies as well as assist in training, mentoring and development of Supply Techs.

Responsibilities

Able to apply lean supply philosophy, performs basic analytics using Microsoft products and other tools available through supply chain management systems.

Performs material receiving functions verifying correct items, quantities, processing receipts in the inventory management computer system, process RTVs, tagging / labeling and staging items for delivery.

Review reports, collaborate with department staff to adjust par levels, coordinate opportunities for improvement, implement and maintain standardized community supply model, assist w / JIT room audits.

Processes stock / non-stock orders in the inventory management systems, coordinates with procurement to resolve order issues, RTVs, discrepancies, match exceptions, recalls and returns to vendor.

Provides daily oversight of material functions while ensuring a safety focused environment complying with BJC, OSHA, Joint Commission standards and performs housekeeping functions in supply rooms.

Minimum Requirements

Education : High School Diploma or GED

Experience : 2-5 years

Supervisor Experience : No Experience

Preferred Requirements

Education : Associate's Degree - Management or Logistics

Experience : 5-10 years
