Anticipated Start Date : January 20, 2026 POSITION DESCRIPTION Taft College is seeking a pool of qualified candidates with demonstrated instructional skills to join an outstanding team of faculty and staff to provide high quality programs and services for our students.

Teaching assignments may be temporary, part-time and / or on-call and may be immediate or as needed (as specified in Education Code 8748.25).

We are seeking lecturers with the ability to teach in the above area for inclusion in a pool for the Spring 2026 semester.

Note : Courses in the baccalaureate completion program are offered asynchronous online.

Dental Hygiene (DNTL) 3025 Current Topics in Oral Health (3 Units) Course description : This course explores topics in Dental Hygiene with a focus on current and relevant issues arising in the dental hygiene profession including societal, economic, and cultural impact.

Topics are subject to change from year to year.

QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Master’s degree or equivalent foreign degree in the discipline directly related to the faculty member’s teaching assignment AND two years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member’s teaching assignment and any appropriate licensure; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent foreign degree in the discipline directly related to the faculty member’s teaching assignment AND six years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member’s teaching assignment and any appropriate licensure; OR the equivalent (an Equivalency Requested Form may be submitted with the application); AND Must show a demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of college students.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Master’s or doctoral degree in Dentistry, Health, or a closely related field.

Experience as a Dental Hygienist COMPENSATION : $78.86-92.66 per hour REQUIRED MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION : Letter of Introduction describing how you match the minimum and desired qualifications.

A current Resume Complete transcripts of all college / university coursework (unofficial is acceptable).

Three (3) professional references.
