Electrical Engineering Manager

We are engaged in the sales of a wide variety of welding-related products —including welding robots, specialized machines, peripheral equipment for specialized machines, general-purpose machines, electrodes, and control components—primarily serving Japanese companies involved in the automotive industry.

Hikari Trading Co. is looking for a highly motivated and passionate Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team.

The primary responsibility of this role will be to oversee the electrical design and control of automated machines, specialized machines, welding lines, and other equipment used in automotive parts production.

What You Will be Doing

• Designing and implementing PLC systems for new production equipment used in automotive parts manufacturing
• Preparing cost estimates and managing risk assessments
• Performing equipment modification on-site for customers
• Support equipment commissioning and startup on-site for customers
• Analyze and troubleshoot existing equipment in operation to resolve technical issues
• Collaborate with external mechanical / electrical vendors and design teams to ensure smooth project execution

Our territory covers from Canada to Mexico, offering on-site modifications and commissioning support to our customers at their facilities. Travel to customers in and out of state is required for this position.

This is a full-time (non-exempt) position with working hours of 8 : 30 AM-5 : 30 PM. We also offer a flex-time system, as well. Overtime may be required depending on project progress.
