Location : Bellevue, WA -OR- Bentonville, AR (3 days onsite) - OPEN TO RELOCATION, PREFER LOCAL

Benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision + 401k + PTO

Salary : (Dependent on Location)

  • Bellevue : 156-312k
  • Bentonville : 109-218k

Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 12+ years of relevant industry experience in building highly available systems.
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Languages (Java is preferred)
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark)
  • Experience with cloud environments (Azure or GCP preferred)
  • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership from inception to launch of multiple complex and ambiguous projects.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, ability to make design tradeoffs, balancing the long-term "big picture" and short-term implications of design decisions.
  • Expertise in service-oriented architecture.
  • Expertise with Relational and / or NoSQL Databases and use of Cloud Services.
  • Experience with CI / CD and Operational Excellence best practices.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, including consensus building, conflict resolution, influence and persuasion skills.
  • Mentoring / coaching junior engineers in technical problem solving and career advancement.

    Responsibilities :

    Set the technical direction for multiple teams and systems, and disambiguate large complex problems at Walmart scale to enable the team to deliver.

    Collaborate with engineering and business leadership to align technology and business priorities.

    Establish and own both business as well as well operational excellence goals, and help define the path to goal achievement.

    Invest in creating engineering leaders and set up culture of engineering excellence for multiple teams.

    Collaborate with engineering leadership across Walmart Global Tech to influence global best practices and be a spokesperson for the org.
